I’ll Still Be There by Keelan Ellis was a surprisingly touching read. Surprising in that I went into it not knowing what I myself was in the mood for. It turns out, I was in the mood for a double-barreled love story. The tale was about two couples who crossed paths at the intersection of life and afterlife. Their tales were woven between generations and when they finally crossed paths, the story was possessed of a vibrant, pounding emotional life.
Personally, I fell in love with one of the ghosts. Clay was, for me, the most fleshed-out of the characters. As a ghost I also felt his voice was the strongest. I’ve heard rumor that the author has planned a novella highlighting Clay’s trip to Paris with his love Silas. I’m eagerly awaiting that portion of the tale!
