This came into my inbox: 2015 October Platform Challenge (link). I almost deleted it. Almost. Then the voice on my left shoulder (we’ll call him Muninn) cawed, “You have been wanting to work on this skill as long as I can remember.” Not to be outdone, the voice on my right shoulder, (let’s just say he’s named Huginn) cackled, “I really think you should do this.”
So sleeves up, I am committed to this month of daily challenges! Here goes…
2015 October Platform Challenge: Day 20 – Search for Yourself
The instructions for today are: “Search for Yourself”
Huginn and Muninn have their backs to me. They’re hunched over something. At first I thought I was getting a cold-shoulder because of yesterday, then I realized Huginn was shaking. No… trembling. With laughter.
“Okay, what’s so funny?” I ask.
“Have you seen page four?!?!” Huginn laughs evilly.
I raise an eyebrow.
“On the Google,” Muninn explains, as if adding ‘the’ to Google makes him seem affluent. “Page four has a reference from the American Shropshire Sheep record. There are Brothers Vance and a D. Bastian.”
They nod happily, “halfway down!” They wait anxiously to see my spirit flag.
“You mean the first THREE pages on Google all reference me and my activity?”
Confused, they nod again.
“Guys, this is awesome!” I dance happily from the room.
Huginn, taken slightly aback, turns to Muninn and says, “We didn’t even get to tell him about the death certificate we found on Bing and Yahoo!”
Muninn shrugs, “He is so damned illogical.”
